The Planning Process

The concept of creating premier public street along Broad Street developed out of the ONE Riverfront planning process. While that plan only took in consideration Broad Street from Aquarium Way to 4th Street, the community voiced their desires for a more pedestrian-friendly area that could accommodate events easily, availability for restaurants and cafes to expand into the sidewalks along with strengthening features like trees, wayfinding and lighting.

This new planning process expands the footprint to explore improvements from Aquarium Way all the way to Martin Luther King Blvd.
